: Don: Fascism is an economic system where the government controls, but does not own, industry. Buying crops from farmers and telling them how much they can grow qualifies as fascist policies, although I don't think I would classify a government as fascist on the basis on one or two such policies. The US government regulates and controls buisness to such a degree that it *is* fascist.

Economic Facism is a system where capitalists collaborate with a murderous racist government.

: Don: That is fascism . . .

Fascists would very definitely disagree and no one knows a creed better than those who advocate it, right?

Your using a terminology to try and employ any shock or horror value it may have, in the course of it you are belittling the holocaust etc. because if your view becomes popular people will begin to see facism as nothing more than authoritarian government or economic planning and 1. It suppot for facism will be less stigmatised and 2. People wont be that annoyed by it, they'll say oh, that's just facism, the old facist Federal Government etc., hey it's already happened, look at the Michigan Militia and Timothy McViegh!!
