Well, a commune THAT BIG would certainly BE SOMETHING.

It would, of course, be a threat to our government.

Another criticism of commune-sized 'socialism' is the problem of INDUSTRY and job availability.

Most communes like Twin Oaks have only one or two money-producing industries. This means that most of the work available to members is QUITE LIMITED. I think a lot of people leave Twin Oaks because spending a lifetime knitting hammocks is a drag...

Such a socialism NEGATES Marx's vision of the well-rounded individual.
