Stu, the New York Times is HARDLY left-wing. They're more often neo-liberal, except when their fascist editor, AM Rosenthal, sees fit to publish his anti-communist diatribes. Their coverage of Nicaragua has always been scandalous; at best they portrayed a moral equivalency between the Sandinistas and Contras, which is simply abhorrent. The Sandinistas were good and teh Contras were evil, no moral equivalncy exists. their coverage of teh Indian elections is offensive, stereotypical and superficial. Their editorials are reliably anti-communist and anti-Third World. rarely if ever do they portray socialism or teh third world in a positive light.You can keep teh New York Times. I'll stick with the Left, thanks very much. None.
