Speculations aren't Assumptions .....

MDG: Frenchy is merely heckling us, so treat it as soot falling from the sky: just brush it off.

Qx: Soot from the sky? That's what nearby residents of concentration camps did. Well, they did find out later didn't they?

MDG: The probably with making assumptions about people, and worse yet, voicing them, is that it leaves you wide open to error and ridicule. In the end, it's a sign of intellectual laziness.

Qx: Intellectual laziness is a very subjective judgement but then again I know I was speculating and not assuming. Hence the question mark at the end of my previous posting in this thread.

MDG: Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go back to my passive existence -- all this typing has worn me out!

Qx: Oh come now! Automation isn't that bad. One can go for a walk in the park and other things besides. Contemplating capitalism and the alternatives requires cerebration and there's nothing passive about that. Keep at it MDG.
