Very, very good points SDF.We've got to come to a better appreciation of democracy than mob rule or it will simply become that.
I mean take NI the sectarian religious zealots of the DUP, who continue to swear the paratroopers did right by firing at and killing innocent protestors on a civil rights march in Derry and who on other occasions through paramilitary bands, such as, the 'third force' or 'Vanguard' or 'Ulster Resistance' have threatened violent disorder if they dont get their way, have consistantly declared themselves democrats and tried to throw everyone who didn't agree with their narrow definition of sectarian mob rule as democracy out of the new assembly.
Hopefully one day democracy will mean what it once did, before Tom Paine introduced it to polite ciricles as majority rule, which was participatory, 'from below' democracy.
