E.C.L. Schulze:

"To the Socialist labor is an evil to be minimized to the utmost. The man who works at his trade or avocation more than necessity compels him, or who accumulates more than he can enjoy, is not a hero, but a fool from the Socialist's standpoint. . ."

Preposterous.

The ENTIRE CONCEPT of (Marxian) socialism is that labor is the most important thing humans do---therefore it should NEVER be alienated from those who do it.

'And what do we find. . .as the characteristic difference between the band of monkeys and human society? Labor.'
----Engels, Dialectics of Nature, International 1940, p. 285.
