no state or monarchy's ever had that power so why is it a good idea to grant it now?

I know that biotechnology is great, I'm no luddite and I dont think socialists etc. are, it's the who owns this and what interest will they be operating in issue.

The capitalist ideological programming of hayek et al has you yankees convinced that greedy lifestyles are the best thing possible for society, hey it doesnt take much convincing if your filthy rich does it?, which leads to things like Monsanto trying vie the WTO etc. to force GM crops that wont grow without sprayed activators on the worlds farmers.

That leaves Monsanto with a monopoly on what grows and what doesnt, which is something I'm not comfortable with but I know you yankee capitalists trust in business blindly like some people trust in God or state.

Who decided it was fine for people to make heaps of cash and live lives of unimaginable decadence without doing any work other than giving their permission for people to eat every now and again?

That's unrivalled Stalin never had that power, no state or monarchy's ever had that power so why is it a good idea to grant it now?
