No, Lark, you have it all wrong. When I wrote I'd keep one hand on my weapon, you wrote:

"There'll be none of that freudianism about here, you hear!! I wont stand for all this matribating or threatening to mastribate when faced with potential gunmen planners!!"

In response, I wrote:

Don't be too hard on [get it, hard-on?] a fellow member [ahem - member]

Maybe it's an American-Irish thing.

Anyway, I agree with you completely about humor. In fact, I've been frustrated that everytime I tried to use it to defuse tension between me and Barry, it only seemed to make the situation worse. Was it Emma Goldman who said she wanted no part of a revolution if she couldn't dance in it? Given the misery in the world, it's essential to maintain a sense of humor, if only for the sake of one's sanity. When you lose humor during a moral crusade, you become a very dangerous person.
