: SDF, your problem is that with your all or nothing worldview, you're willing to sacrifice other people to achieve your ends.

SDF: Oh really? How many people's lives did YOU sacrifice by voting for the President that signed the Welfare Bill? How many lives did you and your Democrat friends sacrifice by supporting the President who likes gratuitous bombing? Who obstructed the UN while 700,000 Rwandans were slaughtered? Did you notice?

Remember Madeleine Albright? Someone finally broke through the security blockade and asked her about the hundred thousand or so Iraqi children who died due to the embargo, what did she think about it? Her response was something like: "It's a big sacrifice, but we think it's worth it." Is that your attitude too?

: There are still real differences between the Democrats and Republicans in every area of politics,

SDF: There are real differences between SOME Democrats and SOME Republicans -- Tom Campbell might as well be a Democrat, Ernest Hollings might as well be a Republican. I'm arguing that the SOME Democrats who are not Republicans would actually have a shred of power if they quit the Democratic Party, and perhaps joined something with principle. Why, the Democrats would have to pretend to move to the left to try to recoup their losses, as they have done in New Mexico with the ascendance of the New Mexico Green Party. Maybe every state could be a New Mexico?

(advocacy of powerlessness omitted)

: As for choosing lesser evils, I'll give you this hypothetical choice: you can get slapped across the face, or you can have your legs broken; now do you think choosing a lesser evil is irrelevant?

SDF: Or there's the lesser evil the Nazis presented to the Jews: turn in a hundred of your friends, or we'll kill you at once. Or in Clinton's case, that's 4,000 Iraqi children every month.

You STILL haven't answered Krasny's question:

*Big deal... so you vote for the crook. The real question is, "What do you do so that in four years, you don't have to go through the same exercise in lesser-evilism?"

So? What do you do? Inquiring minds want to know...

It's been TWENTY-FIVE YEARS since left-Keynesianism has lost favor in both factions of the One-Party System. Have you come up with anything better than holding your nose?

Care to read the truth about Dollar Bill Bradley? Let 'er rip! Honestly, Paul Wellstone and Cornel West ought to know better. Too bad they're Democrats.

Do you think you're going to persuade me to quit the Green Party now? I haven't even started to argue!
