So, then the opposite might be true ? if we reduced wages to 50 cents an hour would we have full employment ? No need to invest in expensive machinery, we could employ millions of people and make everything very laobour intensive. Supply and demand can be subverted. If an employer will not pay staff the minimum wage, we should advertise the fact so people could boycott their products - sure the business might fold but then the employer would also lose his or her job. Bearing in mind the excessive profits made by some companies maybe a consumer boycott is the best weapon we have.
