Ah, well then Ive misintepreted yopur point (which I thought was that some capitalist elite were silencing naysayers). Following your points (and thanks for going through them) I can now see that this is statist governments, of any persuasion, attempting to silence anyone who does not fit in with their idea of the collective nation. The example of China, or societ Russia would have served equally well.

It is as likely that a libertaraian would be so pursued for suggesting that the state does not have the right to his property, nor to direct his persocal behaviour.

The enemy here is the state which considers itself master and keeper of people, rather than servant 'referee' of individual liberty.
