Actually, I should be pleased with historic trends. they have been away from centrally controlled empires toward ever smaller ones, and maybe ultimately to the individual.

They have probably just lost even more votes, it was a pathetic attempt to gain some of Labors market share, I suspect people would not want to vote for a party whose platform is "were a bit like labor, only without the nice young man in charge"
