Ayn Rand's most original work in philosophy was tying morality to man's nature and the notion of selfishness as a virtue. Her politics and economics are classical liberal. There are many thinkers before her who espoused the same ideas. If you are antagonistic toward laissez-faire capitalism, it's unlikely you'll find value in her other ideas. They are essentially all part of the same arguement. Oh well, ya can't please everyone! None.
