: 6 billion states, all different.

Strange really, I lvoe debating with "We're all unique" individualists, its a larff, innit? there's this bloke, see, different board, Name of Frenchy- Catholic Conservative, and word for word, he repeated your arguments, and the arguments of countless others, against me. Word for word he was exactly the same. The Neo-liberal Borg, chanting their hymns of praise in unison.

: It can (was to an extent) be done by private banks set against exchangable value (usually gold but also diamonds and otehr useable metals etc). Govt backed money is risky, inflation is the price. Hence even 'modern' states hold gold & other reserves.

Erm, I know of no state where money has existed without the assent of the State, paper money began with promisary noted from banks, but currency began with Official State seals on Money. Even Tudor England with a strict gold stndard suffered heavy inlfation (Gold imports). Real money= royal money. To have teh banks deciding the currency is to give the banks authority.

: Thats a claim to either know their thoughts, or to not know yours any better than a strangers. Both seem far removed from reality.

No, its called 'the decentred self', the idea being that we can only know ourselves through our actions, and words, and imply a character for ourselves (a conscious ego) from that.

: It doesnt matter if you are thinking what you have read, by the act of you thinking the thought is yours. You can argue over 'original' thinking as a seperate matter.

So if I read someone elses source code, but add my own procedure, the source code is now mine?
