Pace SDF, I actually did mean a material connection. given that all social production occurs in a totality of p[roduction, this means that all positions therein are related structurally to one another, or rather, that the totality is the single cause of all individual subject positions. If the totality of production makes people rich, it also makes people poor. Given that it is the same system, then, if some are rich, it is only because some are poor, since the system made them both.
