By eliminating the cause of crime- most crimes are property crimes (thefts, or damage to property), and much violence is associated with property crime (aggravated burglary, thefts, etc)- we would abolish theft by making everythign free- why steal a video when you can just have one,. why earn money from crime and abnti-social behaaviour, when you can live plentifully anyhow.

Thus we have just eradicated most crime. After that, as living conditions improve, and peoples sense of self worth improves, anti-social crime born of poor living conditions, poverty and high property crimes in an area (the poor are the most likely to be robbed), then other violence would simply fall away and disappear. Leaving a rump miniumum of crime to be dealt with either medicinally (for obvious mental patients), or communally (crimes of passion, etc.) by whatever means (I doubt prison nor brutal mutiliation...).

Instead of needing to enforce povcerty, and enmforce exclusion of the unprofitable, society would be able to avoid anti-social disintergration...
