The reason why no-one is doing anything about it is because it's too complex for the average asutralian. It's John Howard's way of tricking everyone into going for it. All most people know is that "it's good" (a propaganda lie), and "it's a tax" (hence the confusion). That's it. I would leave the country if there was a better place to go ;-)
