: Every defect which the capitalists can point to in socialism can also be found in capitalism.

The lets talk 'defects'

: It is in the interests of the monopolistic capitalists to maximize their freedom by minimizing the freedom of everybody else.

And its in the interest of their competitors to offer choices, the interest of a 'consumer' to select those things he believes will be the best according to his ability and willingness trade value or them. Odd use of the term 'freedom'.

: A capitalistic democratic state has more reason, and need, to control every aspect of the consumer-voter's life than a socialistic authoritarian state has to control its citizens.

The evidence from nominally socialist authoritarian states points very muvh the other way. How did you arrive at this conclusion?

: The absolutely necessary trade off for increased political freedom is decreased personal freedom.

And how on earth did you arrive at this!?
