SDF: No, actually "class" has to do in the predominant way in which one makes a living, and is essential to understanding how distribution through exchange divides the members of capitalist societies into two distinct social groups. Class has nothing to do with the sham made of "class" in Samuelson's ECONOMICS and other advertisements for the status quo. There are only two classes, labor and capital.
