: I'm sure Frenchy's dad is doing fine -- how are his employees?

Is this a thinly veiled criticism of Frenchy's dad? Would Frenchy's dad be morally superior if he didnt have the motivation and ability to build houses then? Would 'we' have liked him more if he simply fell into the bottom rung of employment and did nothing more like every good victim of 'capitalist oppression' should?

His employees would not have been employed if he wasnt there - so would they have been better off? Guesswork really isnt it.

Seems a peculiar view.
