Well, I wasn't trying to vindicate you so much as I was trying to clear up a factual error, and I don't see anything particularly religious about that.

I happen to think that Marx is a lot better than "the next man with a theory" precisely because he realized that theory depends on practice (struggle) and not the other way around.
