In response to low voter turnout: It is my impression that most people don't want to be bothered. After all, virtually all Americans are living well (including the so-called "destitute" poor, who I have had some familiarity with). They've better things to do with a half-hour or so than fulfill their constitutional responsibilities. And indeed, who could really blame them? All the nutcases (Ross Perot, Gus Hall, etc.) frequently score in the single digits. No matter who wins, the government will likely be run the same way - by experts, who have done such an excellent job that the economy is booming, and the U.S. is by far the richest and most powerful country in the world. What's there to change?

Marketing tip #1: If you want to sell a product, you have to make it better than the cheaper one your competition is selling. Whining and expressions of outrage just don't cut it.

Yeah, it sounds obvious to us 'evil capitalist bosses', but ...
