By the time the candidates get on the ballot, they've been winnowed down to bland corporation flag bearers. And then what? One of them gets into Congress, and two people go to see him: 1) Don, earnest in his beliefs, but limited in his ability to donate cash to the Congressman's perpetual reelection campaing, and 2) The smooth lobbyist (perhaps an ex-Congressional aide or better yet, ex-Congressman) who represents a powerful corporation brimming with dollars. Don and the lobbyist explain their wants and needs to the Congressman, but unfortunately for Don, the lobbyist's needs contradict Don's. And really, who do you think the Congressman will help out?
