If a person calls himself a communist I'm perfectly willing to take him at his word.

: : Congratulations, all you wonderful Maoists! 20 Million dead!

: And the person or people on this debate board defending Mao are?...

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$Any one who defends Marxism, dead labor, surplus value, 'to each according to his needs...', equality. Mao practiced his own form of Marxism...

: Oh, excuse me, since you never read Marx---or any other socialist---you think EVERY tyrant who calls him- or herself 'communist' IS a communist.

: Must be wonderful to look at things so SIMPLY.

If a person calls himself a communist I'm perfectly willing to take him at his word. Besides, there are so many different communists that they themselves even argue about what real Communism is. If they can't figure it out, why expect me to?

But what is it about Communism that has fooled so many of millions of people for so long that they believe the things that a communist leader says? I mean, I'm willing to grant that small entities like a monastary, for example, can be communistic, not in a Marxist sense, but in a Christian one, but that sort of communism has nothing to do with dialectics or politics that affects others. And that sort of life may be appealing to some. Are the masses so stupid that they believe in country after country that a 'workers paradise' is possible on earth?
It's mind boggling. It's more far fetched than believeing in religion.
