What is Grimace???

What is this creature know to us as Grimace? It is my life long journey to find out the origin and nature of this being...I have searched everywhere for an answer but to no success. My people of Grimace, if you have any info on this astounding specimen as to what he/or she may be please email me...I will not die until this mystery is solved!!!
