Clam down before starting discussion

The discussion, more like scolding, scares me. No wonder we have racial discrimination!! I do know French and English, not very good though and to a certain extent, I know the people from both countries (France & the US). To my understanding, you are both feeling superior. But let's ask, who are not proud of their own culture and history?? France's glory is rather,even not wholely true, in the past and that of the US is the present. Today's glory will be a story in the book tomorrow. China, a developping country, had a glorious history too. What we should do today is to understand the differences between different mentality and culture. First get to know them and then we are free to choose what we like because all people are subjective, different degree though. Sometimes, we cannot say which one is better. Now, the world becomes smaller and smaller, not only because of the increase of population but also the efficient means of transport and the globalization. The conflicts and misunderstanding of the same kind will occur or occurs frequently. Please clam down and think carefully what you are talking about. Whether you are talking about politics, social, your friends, personal experience?? That's important because you should have never discussed in a mess. KAREN
