ABout the poem.

I plan to use this poem with me 10th grade English course this week. I think it interesting that it is supposed to be about political correctness because that seems to be quite obvious (and for a poem in school "obvious" is normally no good.)
I have seen videos from the recitation of this poem and I really liked this. Are these avaiable anywhere. They might really be a boon in class to get poetry to the pupils (in Germany, I am sad to say, poetic literature is something most people only know as the most boring part of school-life.)
ABout the poem. Obviously it is about exchanging the "black" in words with negative connotations with "white" to show how this use of this adjective might color (pardon the pun) our thinking. Perhaps one should someday write an answer to this using the words "blackwash", "black lies" etc;-). Anyway, I really like it and I hope my pupils at the Max-Planck-Gymnasium, Duisburg will like it too.
