Usa, not U.S.A., is it a country?

I have a friend who says that Usa is a country that uses child labor for production of products sold in the United States, and prints tags on the products stateing "MADE IN USA". Is this true? If so, could you send me any information regarding this situation? However, any information regarding child labor would be of great appreciation. Thank you.
