look at the cigarette and alcohol problem in high schools.

although crimes happen without drugs, they are increased when drugs are involved. For example, the drug use itself.
I understand your thought about legalisation of drugs, and they fact that thye would go up in price, but there are huge reprecusions from that. For instance, look at the cigarette and alcohol problem in high schools. With the lower prices, it becomes a market for more ppl. It will not neccesarily decrease poverty in drug using families, because it will also increase the use. Mothers would still be having children addicted to drugs, and yes, people do blame their crimes on drugs use. there would be increased addiction. Why are cigarettes so popular?? peer pressure. The past and present generation are using marajuana and alcohol, and cigarettes. What will our childrens be??? Cocaine?? Meth Amphetamine?? Instead of the high school students coming to class high off marajuana, they are under the influence of very addictive and heavy drugs?!?

Although not all will share my opinion, it holds a lot of vital points.
