MR. RALPH GRIMER, OWNER OF THE MCDONALDS LOCATED AT 8929 CLAIRMONT MESA BLVD, SAN DIEGO, CA, STORE # 5458, WOULD NOT ACCEPT A $50.00 BILL FROM ME FOR THE PURCHASE OF $15.00 FOOD VALUE DURING LUNCH TIME AFTER THE KIDS AND I WAITED IN THE DRIVE THROUGH FOR 20 MINIUTS. HE SAID IT WAS COMPANY POLICY NOT TO ACCEPT A $50 OR $100 DOLLAR BILLS. WAIT, IT GETS BETTER, SO, BECAUSE THE KIDS WANTED THE FOOD, I WENT TO THE BANK NEXT DOOR AND CHANGED THE HUGE $50 DOLLAR BILL, AND CAME BACK AND WALKED IN AND YOUR WONDERFUL OWNER WANTED TO GIVE ME THE SAME BAG THAT WAS SITTING THERE FOR A GOOD 30 MINIUTS. MCDONALDS HAS THE RESPONSIBITLIY OF INSTALLING SOME OF KIND OF A CHECK AND BALANCES SYSTEM IF THE CORPORATION WANTS ITS NAME TO STAY CLEAN. OWNERS, MANAGERS ARE PEOPLE, THERE ARE THE GOOD ONES AND THERE ARE THE .... UNTIL YOU HAVE INSTALLED A SYSTEM THAT WILL CHECK AND EVALUATE MISS BEHAVIOR, IT WILL CONTINUE ON UNCHECKED.
BUT TURELY, IS IT REALY MCDONALDS POLICY NOT TO ACCEPT $50.00 BILLS. IF IT IS, THEN IT IS SAD.

McSpotlight comment:

In the UK such a policy would be unlawful - the same may be true in the USA, after all a $50 bill is legal tender. Mind you, you clearly accept being treated so badly since you went back!
