: So when you wolf down that cheesburger and watch your kids play with those little life affirming happy meal knick-knacks, just remember how lucky you are to be the murderer and not the murderee.

: Well you know I love being a murderer as the next person. Instead of celebrating the fact that you are not a "murderee", have you ever considered helping those who are unfortunate enough to be in that category through minimal fault of their own? Or do you simply not care about anyone but yourself and you toyhappy children?

: I do care about those who suffer because I recognize that it is because of circumstances beyond my control that I am in one group and not the other, and that circumstances could easily change and dump me into the less fortunate group through no fault of my own. I do care about those less fortunate, partly because sympathy and compassion are part of my nature, and partly out of what some like to call enlightened self-interest.

: It troubles me greatly how this society treats our children. It seems to me that the age of humanity just might be coming to an end because of the cancer that is the viciously dominant consumer culture.

: As a final thought, I have to question the morality of anyone who would rather be a murderer than a victim without seeking another alternative where there is neither one is neither a murderer or a victim.

: McSpotlight: Uh, Overkill, I thinking he may have been speaking in a "tongue-in-cheek" fashion. That's the way I read it - "consider how lucky you are not to be in a sweatshop yourself the next time you play with a happy meal toy")

Dad: McSpotlight is McRight. But I do love that opening: "Well you know I like being a murderer as much as the next person." - That's pretty funny.
