'Deadbeat Dads' etc

Dear readers and posters

recently this exchange took place in this debating room

: Hey, Mcspotlight, a while back I was having a discussion with a lady about deadbeat dads and you cut us off, saying, "This in not the appropriate place to discuss that topic." But I see other postings on it. What's the deal?

: McSpotlight: Different moderators have different views on what's relevant, particularly in the 'anything else' debating room. We're planning to discuss this soon to try and get more consistency. Until then well I guess it's just going to be one of those little quirks of life.

Kelley replied:
Oh, I see. So all I have to do is time my entry correctly to take advantage of the apparent double standard?

We (moderators) have now discussed this and decided that from now on, to acheive consistency messages on this subject will not get posted up.
It is not that we think this is not a valid area for debate, it is just that this is not the right forum for it. This website cannot expand forever and our focus and purpose as a site is basically the fast food industry, multinationals & capitalism, and the alternatives to those.

Sorry if this disappoints some people, but I think there are probably other forums where you could continue to discuss this issue if you want to.
