Well, thanks for the opinion, but school IS "the problem" for some people. Beside from the fact that it has almost single-handedly created (and continues to create) a race of degenerate morons at a collosal expense to coerced taxpayers, some public schools are inundated with violence and drugs and are considered just generally unsafe places for children by the more astute among us. We spend more per student than any nation in the world and yet we've recently ranked close to last (and even DEAD last) on standardized international tests in math and science. Recent studies indicate that as much as 50% of highschool seniors are functionaly illiterate when other studies show that an average 6 year old can be taught to read in a few weeks. This CAN'T all be just an accident - there's criminal intent here, so wake up.

Bottom line is: Why would I want my children to risk being shot, stabbed, beaten up, drugged, or bored to death just for the outside chance that, if they survive all 12 years of this child prison, they might get a mediocre education probably in whatever subject doesn't require being able to read? The best of our collective knowledge MANDATES removing kids from this morally bankrupt imbecile factory as fast as humanly possible.

I know you mean well, but I consider it the height of irresponsibility to encourage kids to stay in school in its current form. What we SHOULD be doing is assessing what it is that's truely important to us as human beings, families, and communities, doing a little research, opening up our minds a little bit (or what's left of them), and THEN making some decisions about what kids need to be taught by the state (if anything) and what they should learn elsewhere. But alas, you read the brochure, saw the commercial, and believed everything that big institutions NEEDED you to believe and now you're a nobody like all the other 6 billion nobodies minus the owners of a handful of multinationals. Thankyou. Thankyou so much.
