THOMMY : Hey Daddio ...
Let me guess --- you see black helicopters too, right?

DADDIO: Oh man, do I ever. There's one over you right now...LOOK OUT!!!

Actually, I see something much worse than black helicopters. I see millions of sheep milling around in toxic office buildings looking for self-acceptance through the drudgery of mostly meaningless occupations that make a handfull of spiritual degenerates disgustingly rich in return for temporary illusions of freedom and dignity. I see shiny new, four-wheeled poison dispensers sitting almost idle on a congested freeway carrying their fatigued and beaten occupants who are puffing frantically on cancer sticks and wondering what kind of tortured dead animal to gorge on this evening. I see apathetic bovine staring hypnotically at commercials for things they don't need, don't want, can't afford, and once aquired, fill that hollowed pit where their heart used to be only for a day or so.

I see a vast, totalitarian medical empire dispensing truckloads of dangerous synthetic substances to an unwary and desperate public suffering horribly from incurrable diseases. I see a million brothers and sisters wasting away in prison cells because of drug addictions when even the most obtuse member of this revered medical establishment knows that drug addiction is an illness, not a crime. I see an elitist politician through the distorted glasses of a controlled media promising uneducated and illinformed masses that our way of life will come to an end if we don't bomb a nation of people we've never met back to the stone age. I see millions of lonely, hungry, uninsured, and repressed U.S.citizens dancing in the streets in celebration of the mere prospect that their "way of life" might be coming to an end.

I see one in every two families being scattered to the winds by divorce and their refugee children harboring psychosis inducing guilt until they draw their last breath in lonely, stench-filled nursing homes. I see advanced technology everywhere I turn, but instead of delivering the promise of freedom, it enslaves, degrades, destroys, and distracts. Instead of dad working less, now mom works too. Extend the school year - now Junior is taken care of also. Does he like school? Of course he does. He has to. He's been there almost everyday since he was five - what does he have to compare it against?

I see a media monopoly that's owned by corporations whose primary concerns are their profit margins. I see hordes of nuerotic peasants with leather briefcases and Gucci handbags naively believing that an informed and thoughtful public is in EVERYONE'S best interests. I see a pathological military-industrial complex up to its waste in the blood our more highly evolved brown and yellow counterparts because America needs more unrenewable resources to feed its gluttenous, insatiable appetite for cheap junk and to support its rapacious, wasteful and scandalous counterfeit ecomomy.

Every human being around me is in some kind of pain that's traceable to our food supply, our medicine, our government, our religions, unchecked industrial greed, flouride in our water, mercury amalgams in our teeth, and the sinister capstone that insures the permanance of this retched state of affairs: our public education system.

Black helicopters? "We don't need no stinking black helicopters."

THOMMY: I've got a couple of sisters I lost to the same muzzy, confused paranoia that seems to have consumed you and your hateful little worldview. I miss them a lot, and it makes me sad that they probably get futher re-inforcement for their dark, conspiratorial fears from listening to wits like you around the kitchen table.

DADDIO: Maybe you should try showing them some respect. Aren't their opinions and feelings about things just as important as yours? Everyone has a story. What's theirs? Do they have any good reasons for believing the things that they do? Would you really allow blood ties to be severed because of differences in political paradigms? You'd rather be cut off of from one another than bother to understand each other? Sounds like you're as much a part of the problem as they are.

Yes, there is a lot of hate in my worldview. You'll discover alot of hate of your OWN whenever you get the balls to start pulling back the layers of your adult packaging to find that an emotionaly and intellectually unevolved eight-year-old has been fighting all of your REAL battles FOR you. And when you discover your primary care givers hand in this predicament, you'll go beyond hate and into rage (and that's if you're lucky). There's no shaft quite like the one we got from our parents. A fortunate few escaped the "assimilation", but I do not get the impression that you are one of them.

I'm sorry about your relationship with your sisters. It makes me sad too. But my worldview isn't part of the problem, its part of the solution.

THOMMY: Give it up dude. I'm raising four kids and doing it right by me and right by any standard.

DADDIO: By ANY standard? Wow, that would make you like the only person in the western hemisphere that knows what their doing. Remarkable. What an incredible achievment. Are you SURE you hold this coveted title? Because we've only got about negetive twenty years to spread your revolutionary child-rearing knowledge to 300 million citizens under the darkness of a national media blackout.

Right by YOU? I'm sure it IS right by you. That's what has me worried. There's no room for improvement in your little perfect box. Nothing to be learned. No more work to be done here people, move along. Whats-iz-fuck is perfect.

THOMMY: Your cramped fears and delusions about mind-control (you need some help decipherign dewy, my man..) is not a recipe for successful parenting and citizen-raising.

DADDIO: See, that's the real FUNNY part. You actually believe that your mind is all of your own making. (Excuse me...I'm busting a gut with laughter. Ok, done.) Yeah, you just keep telling yourself that Thommy. I'm sure nobody has ever dared to give you bad or tainted information or have any impact on your opinions or perceptions whatsoever. You rasied YOURSELF, right? Is that how you got to be so perfect? Maybe THAT'S your big parenting secret - let the kids raise themselves.Great.

THOMMY: Try our approach --- lots of moral framework (and we don't need your vengeful, punishing god to do it), loving parental examples, scads of urban culture and diversity (kind makes you're skin crawl, I bet, huh buddy?...).

DADDIO: Boy, where to begin with this? I guess, to an unruly eight-year-old that's accustomed to doing whatever is required to fullfill is base needs as expediently as possible without regard for consequences to others or his enviroment, would see a loving, stable parent as vengeful and punishing. Too bad. What makes you think I wouldn't provide my kids with a moral framework? Because I don't like the public school system? Are you equating the concept of morality with the concept of public school? I'm looking in my thesarus and I don't see anything akin to "public school" under the word "moral".
Guess I just have a paranoid delusional thesarus.

Loving parental examples? Scads of urban culture and diversity? Oh yeah, that's GOTTA be offensive to someone who despises public schools, the renowned cultural hotbed of loving parental examples and diversity. What planet did you say you were from? Every public school I'VE ever seen looks like a damn prison with desks. We got the same books and the same lessons on the same 6 subjects from tired, underpaid, monotone, wannabe teachers every day for twelve years. The teachers were myopic, the cliques were strict and any deviation from rigid and arbitrary norms of dress, hairstyle, or speech could mean a life of friendless and merciless isolation. THAT'S what makes MY skin crawl.

THOMMY: You keep locking families full of kids up in houses filled with parents like you ---I assume your ranting demogoguery means you're a parent, right? --- and the real problem won't be 2nd and 3rd generation publicly schooled citizens, it'll be "daddios" like you sitting in court rooms like the guy down in Jasper for taking things into their own sweaty, diseased little hands ...

DADDIO: Let me see if I can get this loving and diverse list of choices right.

Our kids can either:

1) Be raised by state employees in a sterile prison-like enviroment where they will become little U.S. worshiping zombies incapable of independent thought.

OR

2) Be locked up in houses with paranoid delusional parents where they can learn nothing except how much God hates us and how we should hate everybody also.

Nope. No mind-control going on here.
