Mark Levinson, in his article in the fall 1997 issue dissent, compares the situation what we faced as a country at the beginning of the century, when a national market was instituted. it will take time to get the many wrinkles out of our international market, and will require the action of workers and citizens. the problem lies more with the countries' governments than with our corporations here.
