Each to his own

While I do not disagree that being big business, Mcdonald's is out for "old number one", still, people have a right to make their own choices for better or worse. Some of the messages I have read here are just as bad in their attempts to deprive people of their right to eat wherever they want and maintain the type of diet they decide as they say McDonald's is in presenting the sort of fare they do. I do not doubt that it is unhealthy food, but each must make that decision for him/herself based upon their reaction to information provided. We all have a brain, and it is up to each of us to use it as we see fit. As an example, smoking in the US has dropped off considerably- not because of government regulation, but because of what has come out in the hearings- and people's individual increased concern for their own health.
