Tried to post this follow up yesterday, but no evidence I succeeded.
We're also at Hinchley Wood. It seems that McD have latched on to the fact that pubs can be turned into McD's without additional planning permission. I understand from local rumour that 200 pubs are (or already have been) targeted in this way. We want our pub, our national identity and our say in the local community preserved. Anyone else have anything to add ? Any good ideas to stop McD's from this erosion of our culture ? Our pub may not have been the best, but it was popular and reasonably well supported. No one here wants McRubbish, Mc-7-day-a-week-drive-in. Help us please !
