: Okay, so it's hypocritical of me to not support a corporation that knowingly causes evironmental degradation worldwide and violates human/non-human rights, but still shop at my local Mom and Pop supermarket. I don't know but maybe I just forgot the last time the local supermarket owned factory farms and spent billions of dollars a year on ads to keep people shopping at their store and supporting the animal cruelty and environmental devastation.

Yes, it is hypocritical of you. Because those "Mom and pop" supermarkets of yours are still polluting the earth, and getting factory farm meat just like McDonalds. Supermarkets also spend billions every year for advertising. Just look in your Sunday newspaper. There are about 10 pounds of circulars in there from every supermarket within a 20 mile radius. They are advertising on TV too. So if you hate McDonalds, fine. Just don't make up some lazy excuse that its because of animal cruelty when the stores you shop at are guilty of the same exact thing. If you really gave a damn about the cows, then you would either grow all your food at home, or shop at stores that don't sell meat products(which is very rare anyway)
