: There are so many McDonalds because they make lots of money by charging high prices for low quality food and hiring people that don't need and special training and pay them minimum wage. Just because there are regulars that come every day doesn't mean it is a good place.

The thing about capitalism is McDonald's cannot sell low quality food for high prices because competitors will take their customers. If McDonald's hired people they don't need, they would be out of business for mismanagement. Plus, nobody would work at MCD if they only got minimum wage. In this economy, anybody working for just mimimum wage seriously needs to have a talk with their boss or find a new job! True, MCD makes lots of money, because there is demand for their products and people eat there. No doubt, if MCD slips, it gets noticed when BK and Wendy's take their business.
