: You are not thinking, you are dreaming. Dream on but realize that what you dream will never be a reality anymore.
: On the positive side, THINK of the overall standard of life people
: have today. Think of the industrial revolution, the average life span, the elimination of plagues, healthy children, and on and on.

: Chesterton's world dreams were and are nice (distributism) but it is a little late.

On every positive there is also a negative: The industrial revolution merely created a more harsh business world which forced businesses to do everything possible to keep up with the growing market, cut costs, and prevail above others. The sacrifice... our environment. With businesses trying to expand in that manner, issues such as the health of our planet were passes off for the all mighty dollar.
The average life span of who? The lucky ones like you who made it through life and retired or the starving people all over the world (including in our very own countries)? One must think about who's life is more valuable... the prosperous few or the world as a whole.
Who's healthy children. I am sure that the McDonald's president and C.E.O. have very healthy children but what about the single mothers who work under the poverty line day in and day out at your local Fast Food joints? What about the children who do not have the priviledge of luck. Luck to be born into a family who can pay the bills.
Two sides to every coin. I would rather "dream" and "hope" my whole life over than accept the way things are and blind myself to the truth.
If everyone would start to "dream", then maybe one day "dreams" will become a reality.

"You may say that I am a dreamer... but I am not the only one."
