of course they have a choice, there's always a choice. as you mentioned they can charge more for thier product, and use meat from a more environmentally friendly source, and if this is too much to ask maybe they should just shut down. this also goes to prove that they have become too big to maintain themselves. and if we put the blame where you believe it should go, on the cattle farmers themselves, then we can agree that they need to stop thier opperation. in either case ronald would either have to buy his beef elsewhere or close down.
i don't mean to sound like i beleive the cattle ranchers to be innocent, i think that all parties involved are responsible.
