there is an attorney in dallas, that represented a consumer who was badly burnt after buying mcdonalds coffee. during the trial, information was obtained that showed mcdonalds had received thousands of complaints from consumers who complained about burns obtained from spilling coffee that is degrees hotter than any other fast food restaurant. there is also a elderly woman (from arizona) who upon spilling coffee purchased from mcdonalds, was rushed to a hospital, went into shock and died. mcdonald's arragance in ignoring these warnings was the basis for the generous settlement the jury awarded the plantiff. ty kelly an attorney with the firm of schecter and marshall located in houston, might be able to remember his name and telephone number. mr. kellys #713-655-0300.
