Just because you didn't personally inflict suffering on the cow/chicken/whatever doesn't mean it didn't happen. Making money from the suffering of others is unethical, just because someone else caused the suffering doesn't change that. I am glad you are educating yourself about the issues people are concerned about, but perhaps you should be a little more open minded.
