: McSpotlight: Diet-related illness is the major cause of death in the Western world. How moral is the action of a company which promotes overconsumption of unhealthy food without alerting the customers?

: "Surgeon-General's Warning: foods high in saturated fats and sugars and low in fibre can cause cancer and heart disease"; somehow I can't see McDonald's putting that on wrappers.

Yeah all McDonalds restaurants would be closed if an over-exposure to their products could kill you. Dream on. I won't even refute that
with the dozens of other examples I could site where public health has taken a backseat to profit. The powers-that-be wouldn't have it any other way - I tend to concur with the great Noam Chomsky when he stated that the government's motto should be:

"Be quiet, consume, and die"

McDonalds is great - pig out.
