: Are you going to convince the rest of the carniverous animals in the world of that too? Sorry to argue but that's the one problem I have with going veggie. Personally I'm looking forward to the day when someone works out how to grow meat without the rest of the animal (and I bet it comes sooner that you thought).
Why do you insist on human beings acting like the rest of the animal kingdom? We humans have the capacity to make a moral choice, and we can do so by choosing not to eat meat.
You say, other animals kill other animals for food, so why shouldn't we? In other words, you're advocating that we live by the law of the jungle, since other animals do. Under that law, might makes right. So what you're saying then, is that it's okay for a big man to kill a small man and take his possessions, because that's how it works in nature.
Since you obviously don't believe that would be a good way for us to live, why do you insist that we also eat meat because other animals do? It's all about moral choice.
