I don't want to just argue back and forth here, primarily because I think we probably share very common moral ground. My point is that nothing is simple, least of all a single verdict which broaches issues of capitalism and global morality and ethics. Yes Dave Morris and Helen Steel made personal sacrifices, but must everyone? What does that entail? Was every dollar donated to the McLibel case "clean"? In this I mean divorced from the corporate "bullies".

I think the case highlights a world governed by higher structures but one which is determined by individual actions, between individuals. I wish it were simpler..but it isn't. The fact that I am a westerner now with the sheer luxury of a computer and internet access exemplifies the complexities of the world. However this luxury in turn doesn't forfeit my moral choices and interaction with the people I meet and live with.
