Strong and Courageous

I, too, am shocked by the courage of David and Helen. I am not extremely familiar with this case but I have read a lot about it in the past few days.
I was very upset to hear of what McDonald's did (and is doing) to the rainforest and animals; however there are some things I cannot blame them for. Let's face it, we now live in a world obsessed with making money--as much as we can, as quickly as we can. McDonald's is basically following capitalism. I really don't see how they stick out from any other company. Let me clarify that this does not mean that I justify what they do, I just do not think they should be the only one's criticized.
But, I was very proud of Helen and David for standing up for what they believe in. I give credit to anyone who will stand up against a huge corporation such as McDonald's; it was certainly admirable. McDonald's obviously looked at their organization (David and Helen's) as a small group of peons that they could bully. Well, they "bit off more that they could chew." Helen and David have sparked a war against monopolizing corporations and money-thirsty companies who feel they can do whatever they want and get away with it.
Any time I see a person or group of people passionately fighting for a cause they truly believe in, whether I agree with the argument or not, it sends chills up my spine. I hope any underdog reads this web site and feels inspired--the little guys can make a difference!!!!
