B.K. vs Irish pub/WSJ 9/30/96

Read the Wall Street Journal, Sept 30, '96, section B, page 1,
"Tender Words Embroil Irish Pub In Fight With Big Burger Chain"
It's petty things like this that give the English a black eye.
Does Grand Metropolitan PLC have nothing better to do? Even
their own former C.E.O. for Burger King thought it a joke.
Is someone at GM PLC harboring ill will? If so, get over it!
The U.S. is over 50% of their market; the perception of picking
on the Irish is a foolish business decision. They're sentimental
favorites here. Perhaps a boycott of B.K., Pillsbury, Green Giant,
Haagen-Dazs, Smirnoff, Inglenook, Pearle Vision, etc would help!
