McSpotlight: Messages may be rejected if irrelevant, abusive or just plain lacking in content. Additionally, your message gets sent through to a holding area before being posted to the Debating Room proper - it's not uncommon for there to be a bit of a delay, as the Debating Room is moderated by volunteers - and there can be 200 messages a day to wade through.
