Revolution in Germany

The revolution in Germany chiefly failed due to the lack of a revolutionary party. As for Trotsky's "History of the Russian Revolution", of course it's biased, what history book isn't? Unlike most, however, it is a history of one of the most important events of the century actually written by one of the chief protagonists. No other work on the Russian revolution equals it in scope or depth. For those reasons alone it is an immensely valuable work and shouldn't be so lightly dismissed. It is also invaluable as an antidote to the official Stalinist rubbish.
